Description:

AFRL/IFTB is interested in development of advanced knowledge acquisition tools to allow Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand knowledge entry, allow knowledge to be collated from different SMEs, and allow knowledge to be validated and maintained in a more simplified and efficient manner than the current state of the art. Achieving advances in this area is key to providing the information superiority necessary for future DoD mission success. The overall objective of this BAA is to develop easy to use knowledge acquisition tools and techniques to allow SMEs to enter their knowledge efficiently into knowledge-based reasoning systems with minimal help from knowledge engineers. These technologies should enable knowledge-based systems to easily encode SME knowledge to meet the needs of communities in their knowledge system environments.
